“I knew you were a christian!” or “What church do you go to?” or “There is something different about you I just can’t put my finger on it.” These are statements you may hear or have heard from people at various times. It’s not that you’re trying to be different or stand out in any way for attention, it’s the fact that you are living your life unto the Lord and in His presence. This in turn shows forth a transformation that reflects Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)
Isaiah 60:1 says, Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. When God’s glory is upon us we are anointed to do what we can’t in and of ourselves. We say things that we couldn’t think to say on our own, boldly speak revelation knowledge into the lives of strangers, share discernment and give wise counsel to others. My husband Jonathan has the ability to share the word of God freely and with boldness, drawing even the most rebellious individuals to a place where they are pliable and open to receive the things of God. It is the radiance of God’s glory upon Jonathan which causes the unsaved to gravitate to the Christ in him. Our purpose as children of God is to live in such a way that unbeliever’s will see Christ in us and they will give him glory because of our Godly lifestyle. “In the same way let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
Wonderful Savior, I thank you that your light shines in and through us. I thank you that the light has come and is risen among us. I thank you that this light attracts and guides the hearts of those who are in darkness to your love and grace. In Jesus most blessed name I pray. Amen.
“As you live this life unto the Lord, be ever so mindful of your shine.”
We live in this world, but we are not of this world and therefore as christians we are not to react to circumstances as the world does. When we hear bad news, or face hopeless situations it is so important that we are focused on Christ Jesus, that our thoughts line up with what His word says. He is the Prince of Peace, and as we keep our mind on the Lord we can trust that he will guard us from fear and confusion every time, keeping us in perfect peace. And that’s a safe place to be!

The only way to get love is to be lovable. It's very irritating if you have a lot of money. You'd like to think you could write a check: 'I'll buy a million dollars' worth of love.' But it doesn't work that way. The more you give love away, the more you get. - Warren Buffet
