A reminder for me
Matthew 6:25-34 (NKJV)
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Titus 2:13-15 (KJV) “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee”. Blessings. vw

I know I’ve read this scripture before VWoods, but it seems to resonate loud and clear as I read it today. In fact I actually can visualize the wonder and spendor of His glorious appearing. Yes indeed, this is a blessed hope and a beautiful scripture to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ. I will meditate on this even the more. Thanks so much for sharing and being a blessing VWoods. I appreciate it.

I’m sorry but I don’t know much about you having just found your Blog but I feel you have a very Loving heart seeking always to reflect God’s Love in your life, thank you for the Maturity you showed when responding to my last comment.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Hi Anne, These scripture are filled with such hope from a loving Savior. They are so needed for those of us who are going through trying times right now and experencing a storm of life. But, it is good to know that Isaiah comforts us and gives us the assurance that we serve a God who will weather the storms right along with us, even through great troubles, oppression, deppression, and especially when life seems like it will overwhelm us He is there with us. He promised that He will never leave or forsake us. What confidence we have been given for a hope and a future knowing that God loves us and has good thoughts toward us and those thoughts are not of evil. Thank you so much for sharing Anne. What a blessing.
As far as my favorite scripture goes, well I have a couple;
My most recent favorite is Romans 12:12 (It simply keep me going)
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Psalms 62:5-8 (When there seems to be no sign of hope for my situation)
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Philippians 4:4-9 (When I’m begin to worry and become discouraged and need to refocus)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Be Blessed!

That peace is what keeps me ever before the Father. God’s peace that passes all understanding and guards my heart and mind. Becayse of it I am able to take courage in knowing He has overcome the world just as His word says. I am able to be still and know that He is God…He is my peace. Thanks for sharing such a word to give us courage and hope. Even while in this world we can live without fear because in Christ Jesus we have already overcome. Thanks for being a blessing “TTL”.
