Does your mind ever go blank when thinking of a post? or does it seem your creative juices just seem to have stop flowing?
What do you write when you don’t know what to write that is the question that I pose to my fellow bloggers and visitors. For the last twenty minutes or so I’ve actually been struggling with what to post on today. I’m sure I have something awesome in there just waiting to get out, but time doesn’t afford me the opportunity to ponder what that is.
How if ever do you deal with temporary writer’s block. What motivates you? Please share, I would love to know.

Habakkuk said in chapter 2:1-3 that when he needed to hear from the Lord he took these four steps: 1) he went to a quiet place or he practiced being still before the Lord; 2) he watched or looked for God to speak to him or we might say he fixed his eyes on Jesus; 3) he tuned in to what he heard God saying or we might say he tuned to the spontaneity of the Holy Spirit within him; and 4) he wrote what he heard and saw from the Lord.
I practice these four steps in my own personal devotional life and have found that when Jesus said that His sheep would hear His voice and follow Him, that I could hear and follow His directions for what He wants me to know and share with others. You can learn more about this spiritual discipline through this link: http://www.cwgministries.org/store/4-keys-hearing-gods-voice-book
Hope this is something that will benefit both you and your readers, LaTrice!

Yes Avanelle, these scriptures are indeed very beneficial. The four steps will be helpful while making a habit of applying them on a regular basis. I haven’t read Habbakuk in a while and now I’m excited to go back, read and meditate on these words. Thank you for sharing the word and the links with both my readers and I.

So far, there is too much idea to post. But when it comes to write about my visual ideas, normally I pray and check dictionary. Hope this helps 🙂 LaTrice, normally, what do you do?

Yes, Tienny this does help. I appreciate it. I generally pray or reflect on my week and the people or situations I’ve come in contact with. That usually works to provide inspiration.

I usually try to get away from my computer as soon as possible. I try not to focus on that irritated feeling and just live and enjoy life. Something always manages to spark my creativity when I least expect it! 🙂

Staring out the window. Sounds overly simple, but eventually something emotional will smack you upside the head. You can’t help but think deep when you stare out the window.

I may try that Jess, I’m sure it will inspire something great especially for me doing this time of year when the scenery will turn into a splendid display of God’s artwork! Thanks for sharing Jessie!

I guess I’m still new enough to the process that I have more words than time to write them. Once in a while I’ll hit a logjam of ideas. When that happens, I’ll shift gears – if I’m working on posts, I’ll go back to the manuscript. If I’m working on the manuscript, I’ll start chewing on posts.
If this method fails, I’ll start a short/flash piece in a totally different “voice.” Once the words are really rolling, then I’ll return to what ever it was that got jammed up in the first place. By then, I can usually manage to pick out the thread I want to follow and get it finished. (Exception being the manuscript due to the length… but the remainder of what needs to be said does get shorter!)

Great strategy you have going there K. Caffee. I guess when your flowing already and get jammed up in one area you can still direct that flow in another area which keeps the words rolling. Sounds like a plan to me;=) I’ll be trying that method for sure. It seems that it will work to get writing done in more than one area. Well, thanks for sharing K. Caffe.
