Facing any of life’s difficulties right now? Health? Martial woes? Finances? Children? It really doesn’t matter what it is, the point is God will bring you through  just don’t give up and don’t give in. As a matter of fact put on the garment of praise and thanksgiving.  What!? that doesn’t even make any sense. (You might be saying) I know, I know, I say it sometimes myself but that’s simply “stinkin thinkin.”

In James 1:2 the bible in fact tells us to count it all joy when we fall into trials of any sort! Doesn’t make sense to our natural minds but who wants to deal in the natural, do it anyway. Look what Philippians 4:4 tells us in the bible “rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice.” The joy of the Lord is not dependent upon our circumstances or situation.  We are to praise the Lord regardless because He is worthy! and when praises go up blessings come down. Hallelujah! Just like with Paul and Silas.  They were  in such a hopeless situation yet they decided to adjust their spiritual lens and get their focus on God and off the problem. In Acts 16:25 it says they began to pray and sing songs of praise unto the Lord and they experienced a literal break through! That was their faith releasing the power of God in their life. The bible says that prison doors were opened, chains were broken and they were set free.  And in the midst of it all the jailer himself was converted. Praise the Lord ;=)

We also must choose to praise God not only when all is well but in the midst of trying times also.  Our praise should be as a garment and never about how we feel but on who God is.   What a testimony for others to see how we trust in the Lord as He navigates us through difficult times in our life all the while we can rejoice knowing that as we’re tried in the fire we will come out on the other side as pure gold. And just like the jailer a soul may be converted because of it.  So, I encourage you, and myself in the Lord that we might keep our mind stayed on Jesus trusting that He will give us the wisdom and grace that we need to praise our way through.

Be A Blessing!
