Have you ever heard someone say or even had it said to you “Do you know something I like about you?” Have you ever said it to someone? I think this question sets the stage to do wonders for a person’s life and the life of others because positivity like negativity can be contagious. I mean just because of the word “like” alone you can almost be sure some type of compliment is coming behind that and it’s such a wonderful question to be asked. You know what I like about you?…that you’re such a confident person, you are so forgiving, OR that you always have a smile on your face.
Accentuate The Positive
There are some people who always wants to point out the negative or what they consider “bad” in others. There are even some people who will do anything BUT acknowledge the obvious “good.” They would rather bite their lip off than to pay someone else a compliment
Just think if every time you come into contact with someone you pose the question “Do you know what I like about you?” then point out something you find positive about that person and tell them. In doing so you will divert attention from anything that may be looked at as a negative and accentuate the positive!
Start Right At Home
This is a good way to show kindness and to encourage one another. Do you ever point out the good things in people who you deal with everyday? At times we can take for granted those closest to us by overlooking the good things about them that have become so common to us. Try this with the people your closest with.Take the time out and tell your spouse, parents, sibling or friend what you like about them, do it whenever you can, as much as you can. How special would that be in building someone up ;=)
