bgfDo you really believe God loves you?  I know for some that may be a silly question to ask or perhaps even a bit offensive especially for those of us who are children of God and claim to know Him. I mean we say we know and believe the love of God but when faced with uncertainties in life the truth is sometimes revealed in fear.  We may have a fear of sickness or lack, a fear of being alone or not having the courage to give our love to someone else. And these fears leave us in a state of defeat, depression and torment which do not reveal God’s love for us.

Perfect Love Has No Fear

The bible says in 1 John 4:18 that “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.   At times when we are going through struggles and we can’t see our way clear, and things don’t seem to be working out for our good we tend to falter in our faith that God’s word will come to pass.  If that is the case then we know that our love has not been made perfect “But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18).

hgjfIt’s inevitable that in this world we have experienced and even shown love that is imperfect, a love that is conditional, rejects, and fails, BUT we must know in our heart that we serve a God whose love never fails. When we believe without a shadow of a doubt God’s perfect love for us then we will be free from the fears that come to torment us and cause us to not to stand strong on His promises.

Let it be revealed to us everyday in every situation the perfect love that God has for us as we hide ourselves in His word building ourselves up in the most holy faith and overcoming any fears.
