1 Corinthians 13:7-8

Fireproof movie and love dare book

The book, The Love Dare written by Stephen & Alex Kendrick with Lawrence Kimbrough is also one of the suggested readings blogged about in the past post Love and Marriage.  Even better it’s  a movie based off this book, Fireproof, it has been out a couple of years and can now be found on DVD. The story has made a big impact with the amazing story it tells of love and transformation.  In the movie, the husband who is played by Kirk Cameron, is experiencing challenges in his marriage that seem to be leading to divorce. Before he goes through with it his ask him to put the divorce off for 40 days and read a book called, “The Love Dare” to help him learn the meaning of unconditional love.

For any of you who haven’t taken the love dare and would like the opportunity I am summarizing for you the 40 dares from the book. Prayerfully they will be a blessing to your union whether it is to save a relationship on the brink of divorce, strengthen weak areas you didn’t realize needed attention, or simply make the good even better by developing and practicing unconditional love.  As you take each dare be sure to journal your experience throughout the 40 days.

Take the challenge…It’s worth the LOVE

Day 5 – Love Is Not Rude

ASK YOUR SPOUSE TO TELL YOU THREE THINGS THAT CAUSE HIM OR HER  TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE OR IRRITATED WITH YOU. APOLOGIZE AND PRAY REGARDING THIS BEHAVIOR.
